Interior style inspiration: Origin Bar at The Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore
If your idea of hitting those home goals implies retreating to a space at home that feels like a decadent den (home bar optional, but obvious), then the art deco-inspired Origin Bar at Singapore’s Shangri-La Hotel is probably ticking a whole lot of boxes for you right now. Yes we’ll take our interior style inspiration from a bar, and yes we’d like to move right in here ourselves.

Dark walls are having a moment, but teal has a particular richness to it that’s more evocative than the shades of grey that have been leading interior style lovers to the dark side.
But it’s the intriguing arches that gives this bar a sculptural, old-world feel. Add the colonial chic rattan lounges, luxe leather, art-deco inspired chairs and that beautiful custom wood floor, and it’s one amazing execution of a theme.

We can see ourselves feeling right at home in a space like this, reading books for hours. And nursing a cocktail, of course.
