Bliss out over Takenouchi Webb’s dreamy interiors for Gather coworking
It’s almost hard to imagine working in the dreamy new Gather coworking space. Floating, yes. Lounging about in the salon, sure. Perhaps even drinking chai (I hate chai). But certainly not stressing over deadlines, delightful clients or endless piles of emails. That just wouldn’t do at Gather.
Kitted out by interior design firm extraordinaire, Takenouchi Webb (of Straits Clan and Whitegrass fame), Gather aims at a “new wave” of coworking, where yes an occasional bit of industry combines with calming interiors and lifestyle offerings. The latter include exclusive memberships with the likes of Absolute You (pilates, cycling) and Orange Theory (science-led training). And it complements the Robertson Quay location (at 22 Martin Road).
But it’s the interior design that’s sold us. The space is all pink marble and earthy-beige coarse-grain flooring, cork walls for texture and terrazzo for a bit of wowfactor (and nowfactor).
Gather was designed to create an environment that encourages balance. The use of colours and textures creates a sense of calm and elegance, with punchy design accents to offer talking points.Marc Webb, Takenouchi Webb
The offices seat six to 40, offer generous levels of space, and come with those same touches of terrazzo cabinetry and cork walls to keep things interesting.
Amenities-wise, there’s everything you’d expect – social spaces, networking events, coffee and pantry, shower facilities. And our favourite: the phone booths…
