The award-winning Fairline Squadron 58 makes its Asian debut at the Singapore Yachting Festival

After its launch at the Southampton International Boat Show in September last year, Fairline’s Squadron 58 received quite the welcome at the 2024 Motor Boat Awards in Boot Dusseldorf. The 60-foot flybridge would be awarded the winner in the ‘Flybridges up to 60ft’ category by the end of the day, thanks to its new old-down aft terraces and beach club, a first for any Fairline model.

Spectators and enthusiasts would see the highly anticipated flybridge first hand at the Singapore Yachting Festival 2024, making its regional debut. The award-winning two-balcony yacht wowed guests with some interesting innovations.

Of note in the flybridge is its revamped hull and styling cues, which mark a new, more modern period for Fairline. A departure from the usual dramatic lines and curves in this segment, this beauty opts for a sharper, more stern natural trim, allowing for a more muscular feel.

Highlighted here are a glazed transom, modular furniture and a fold-out bar with its stools found on the port side. Of course, the hydraulic fold-down balconies on both the port and starboard side tie all the elements together.

Inside is where one will find a reinterpretation of angles, providing ample room for a sun pad, wet bar and hardtop with sunroof, among others. The wide glass transom beautifully frames the views of the waters, and is just remarkable, the way it brings in that much light.

This creates an openness in the saloon and cockpit that honors the guests’ connection to the natural environment. The angled patio door ensures that the staircase doesn’t interfere with the flow of the interiors. More spaces for recreation and social meets, as well as a sunbathing area are found on the fore deck. Complementing these on the lower deck are the three cabins and two heads.

Powering the mechanism are twin Volvo D13-900 shaft drive engines that could possibly have a Volvo D13-1000 upgrade to them, if the owner pleases. The beach club option would surely be a fine addition, as well. It comes complete with a moveable cockpit bar stools and an integrated sound system, a perfect companion on the waters indeed.

“Having recently announced the launch of the Phantom 65 alongside multiple new dealer appointments around the world, the Squadron 58 comes at an exciting time for Fairline, with it marking a major step in our new model development programme,” Fairline’s Chief Executive Officer Paul Grys explains. “We have designed this yacht to offer our customers the ultimate connection with the water utilising a range of new innovations and technologies unique to Fairline.”
