One of the world’s top ski destinations, and part of Les Trois Vallées – the world’s largest ski area – Courchevel 1850 needs little introduction. It’s equally well known for its après scene of Michelin-starred dining, luxury shopping and celebrity-spinkled nightlife. And Courchevel 1850 (named for its altitude) has just placed first on the world’s top ski resorts for prime property, with an average price of US$2,381 psf – more than 12% higher than second-placed Aspen, Colorado.

Six Senses Residences Courchevel represents a luxurious addition to this glamorous alpine setting, combining a famed hospitality brand with a spectacular location and world-class design. The stunning interiors by Alain Foeillet (with optional furniture packages by Morpheus London) give onto generous balconies with sweeping mountain views. The apartments offer unrivalled amenities such as a bespoke wine cellar, private sauna and hammam, along with open fireplaces, dedicated ski lockers, private car parking and storage caves.

Both the Park Hyatt and Ritz-Carlton have announced plans to launch branded residences in Hanazono, Niseko. Perhaps the most up-and-coming area in the famed Hokkaido ski resort, Hanazono offers land prices at one-third to one-quarter of the more famous Hirafu area, implying high potential price appreciation as the area gains traction among both skiers and investors alike.

The Park Hyatt residences project is led by Pacific Century Premium Developments, with plans for 100 hotel rooms along with 114 residences. Malaysia’s YTL group is behind the Ritz-Carlton project, which neighbours the Niseko Village resort the group purchased in 2010.
