Yihong Yachts debuts in Southeast Asia with the Aquitalia 68

The year 2023 marked a turning point for Yihong Yachts, as the shipyard began to explore more global opportunities for Aquitalia. At last year’s Cannes Yachting Festival, for instance, the Aquitalia 78 wowed audiences, and was heralded for being a triumph of engineering.

In April 2024, Yihong Yachts finally made its debut in Southeast Asia at the Singapore Yachting Festival 2024, with a fully customised Aquitalia 68 with Pulina Exclusive Interiors. This was unheard of, considering that customisation for such a vessel was only offered in Europe in the past.

Much like its 78-foot predecessor, the Aquitalia 68 motor yacht boasts sleek lines and a streamlined profile. Embodying the essence of contemporary aesthetics, this yacht features smooth, elegant contours and an eye-catching visual allure.

Aquitalia 68 dining

With its unique fiberglass hull, the Aquitalia 68 stands out from its competitors because of its spacious deck, thanks to that generous 20-foot beam. This is all the more noticeable on the main deck, with an open-plan living and dining area, as well as beautiful wraparound windows, that open seamlessly into the cockpit.

On the lower deck are three cabins and three bedrooms with ensuites, plus a large master bedroom with a walk-in robe. The aft end of the vessel, meanwhile, boasts two crew quarters with two bunks. Owners also have the option to add a hydraulic swim platform.

It should also be noted that the Volvo Penta systems provide the vessel with efficiency and comfortability for everyday cruises. The Aquitalia 68’s twin Volvo Penta D13-800 engines produce cruising speed of 16 to 17 knots, with a top speed of 21 to 22 knots. A bow thruster, on the other hand, ensures better manoeuvrability for a smoother yachting experience overall.

Since its launch in 2016, the Aquitalia 68 has sold more than 40 units worldwide, with half-a-dozen more hulls set to be produced this year.
