The Riva Anniversario is a vessel of timeless style

As a collector’s dream, the Riva Anniversario possesses a certain kind of magnetic appeal. It’s made even the more special knowing that it commemorates the brand’s 180th anniversary. With it comes a revamped motorboat that combines the best of the iconic Aquariva and Aquarama’s stylistic cues with modern touches.

Its sleek design is attributed to Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta, the founders of Officina Italiana Design. They worked tirelessly with the Strategic Product Committee led by Mr. Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department to come up with such a distinct open powerboat, one that is defined by contemporary, clean lines and balanced volumes.

Limited to only 18 in the market, the Anniversario enjoys the beauty of Riva’s flagship ranges: stylish, spacious and strong, framed by rich woods and textures. Its classic silhouette is as charming as it is lush. Featuring a more modern configuration, with intense, fuller colours and gloss varnished mahogany, the motorboat contains various details and trim, allowing for an even more refined style.

Its profile benefits from the aquamarine waterline, a direct reference to Aquarama and the wooden boats of the La Dolce Vita lifestyle of the ’60s. The protective steel bow cap, on the other hand, is complemented by lateral search lights and the refined mahogany fascia of the side handrails.

Inside the vessel is a generous classic sun pad and bespoke cockpit and below-dec area, punctuated by a large modern U-shaped sofa and the bimini top. Owners should be able to appreciate the dashboard at the helm station, as well. Also seen here are 12-inch digital displays and integrated navigation instruments integrated into the Aquarama-inspired vintage features. A special type of leather is even used throughout the boat, one that withstands marine conditions while maintaining its soft, comfortable cushioning.

Beyond its classic aesthetic appeal, of course, lies Anniversario’s impressive engineering and performance capabilities, as well. TheAnniversario is fitted with an electronically controlled two-speed gearbox. Its YANMAR 8 LV engines can each reach up to 370 hp. The motorboat can easily go to a maximum speed of 40.5 kn and a cruise speed of 36 kn.
