Molteni&C debuts the latest in its new bespoke outdoor collection

Famed Italian brand Molteni&C introduced the newest pieces in its outdoor collection at its Winsland House showroom in Singapore recently. With it, guests, architects and designers were treated to a collection that highlighted new finishes, revamped interior solutions and the same contemporary Italian proportions and detail that the brand has long championed.

Attended by Molteni&C’s Asia Pacific Director Alessandro Ficco and Viabizzuno’s Managing Director in Asia Luca Chinello, visitors were given a closer look into the Maison’s latest collaborations.

Among the exquisite pieces introduced were three exceptionally made furniture collections, two of which had been done in collaboration with artistic director Vincent Van Duysen. Molteni&C also partnered with Italian lighting company Viabizzuno for the said showcase.

The Palinfrasca outdoor sofa was one of the many standouts from the new series. It’s part of the ‘Landmark Collection’ curated by Duysen. Upon first viewing, the bespoke piece immediately references the iconic shaped inspired by Luca Meda’s design of the Palinfrasca in 1994, reimagining teak wood in a contemporary and unprecedented way.

Meanwhile, the Cinnamon armchair would exude comfort with its soft and rounded foundation, meticulously crafted using upholstered jersey fabric. Molteni&C worked with the Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa for the project. Fukasawa’s vision for functionalist design shines through in the armchair’s simplistic shape and forms.

And there was the 505 UP living system and bookshelves showcase. Boasting durability and Molteni&C’s distinct aesthetic cues, the ceramic, 4mm-thick structure offers users more customisation options. This allows them to seamlessly integrate the piece into a study, bedroom or living space. The kitchen collection, on the other hand, featuring multiple bespoke tables and seating as well as a kitchen layout complemented by Viabizzuno pieces.
