Sailing in style: Exploring the Gulf and Indian Ocean aboard the Para Bellum
Whether it’s in Dubai, Oman, the Maldives, or Seychelles, EKKA Yacht’s 47-metre explorer yacht Para Bellum endows charterers with a cruising voyage of the highest order. Built at the prestigious Sanlorenzo shipyard, Para Bellum was launched earlier this year as part of Sanlorenzo’s Explorer model line-up.
It is a yacht that embodies the dynamism of the destinations it navigates, a vessel any discerning charterer can appreciate. Now, the ship offers a rare opportunity to explore the Gulf and the Indian Ocean and beyond, with the style and grand features to match.
“Para Bellum is perhaps the most capable and customised explorer yacht on the charter market in her size bracket, and that makes her the perfect platform for enjoying everything that the Gulf Coast and the Indian Ocean have to offer,” says Ekka Yachts Charter Manager Myrto Kyriazakou, “whether you’re looking to delve into the art, culture and nightlife of Dubai or escape to serene seclusion in the islands and beyond.”
From the onset, one is treated to a striking explorer that punches above its weight class. A vast 113-square-metre sea-deck terrace boasts the only infinity pool found on an Explorer series yacht. The forward observation lounge invites guests to immerse themselves fully in the gulf’s unparalleled views and breeze. The deck pool and sundeck jacuzzi usher guests into a splendid variety of indoor and outdoor lounging options.
The interior of the superyacht was masterfully crafted by renowned architect Antonio Citterio. Its design is a cross between nautical and beach house elements, blending warm wood tones and light, bright textiles with an array of modern curves and subtle textures.
On the upper deck, guests get to take advantage of the sumptuous skylounge with a sofa, daybed and expansive views. A comfortable saloon and interior dining area on the main deck offers more room for larger gatherings. Amenities, such as a beach club, bar, and gymasium, only add to the grand summer and winter cruising experience.
The master suite, on the other hand, is an exemplary space in the forward widebody section of the main deck. Of note here are the forward ensuite and walk-in wardrobe, large hull windows for light and views, and, of course, that gorgeous private terrace. Lower-deck suites aren’t compromised either, served well with two VIP doubles and two twin/doubles with pullman berths.
Complementing these remarkable facilities is an exceptional toy chest of sorts, featuring inflatables, towables, jet skis, Seabobs, an underwater scooter, and waterskiing gear for both adults and children. An 8.5-metre, all-weather XO chase boat/tender is available, too. This allows guests to head even deeper into secluded coves and hidden island gems.
Para Bellum also boasts a highly skilled and experienced crew to accompany charterers during the sail. These include a Michelin-trained Chef who can take care of the finest gourmet recipes to personal guides who can describe in detail the best of what each region can offer.
Para Bellum bookings are available through winter 2023 to 24 in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, the Gulf Region, Maldives, and Seychelles. Meanwhile, summer 2024 trips are based in France, Italy, and Croatia. Winter 2023 to 2024 and summer 2024 rates start from €300,000 or AU$486,850 per week.
