Wolf celebrates its 190th year anniversary with new limited-edition collections

Wolf is a renowned British-based luxury brand that curates the most exceptional watch winders and jewellery boxes. It has gone through five generations of the Wolf family line and has continuously operated since its inception in 1834. This year, Wolf celebrates its 190th anniversary by releasing five limited-edition collections, each inspired by its five generations.

Included in the anniversary collection is the Ida, a vintage trunk-style jewellery box that uses a recycled striped canvas exterior in muted tones. This is inspired by Ida Wilhelmina Peterzon, the wife of Philipp Wolf II and the second in the Wolf family line, who travelled all over Sweden and Scandanavia with her trunk full of Wolf samples to sell to retailers.

The vintage jewellery box features a top grain leather trim and drawer pulls, as well as brass stud detailing, a custom designed lock, an exclusive 190th anniversary logo plate and protective corners.

Another beautiful addition to the anniversary collection is the Ballet, a reimagination of the original Wolf turning ballerina box. Originally made by Philipp Wolf III, the newly improved Ballet features an exquisite wooden inlay detail, silver finished hardware and a custom designed key that keeps it secure.

Inside it is a Swan Lake embroidered grand theatre interior designed by Fiona Howard, with a scallop-edge mirror placed at the middle. It also has handmade wooden compartments with anti-tarnishing, LusterLoc™ treated ultrasuede lining. The box is not only an amazing way to store any treasured possessions like jewellery, but it is also a beautiful musical display as it comes with two interchangeable ballet dancers with different skin tones, which begins to dance to Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake by winding the silver ‘W’ key.

Finally, the Philipp is a men’s jewellery and watch lifestyle case inspired by Philipp Wolf IV’s original box in the 1970s. It retains the original’s vintage aesthetics with a modern flair, using rich brown vegan leather coupled with a beige nubuck exterior. It also features the iconic ‘DP’ logo in gold finish and a custom designed lock.

Inside, the box uses a LusterLoc™ lining with a dark conker brown concertina stationery storage, snap close pocket and an additional space to store a credit card case. It also has a single suspended watch cuff, a removable covered keepsake tray, a cufflink tray that can also serve as a ring tray and a large scoop tray.
