An expression of radiance: Parfums de Marly’s introduces Perseus
Most often, Parfums de Marcy distinguishes itself for its commitment to creative and olfactory authenticity. In the realm of parfumerie, the Maison’s collections are odes to the golden era of French fragrances back in the 18th century. It’s been creating exceptional fragrances that evoke a timeless sophistication and old-world grandeur that references the Château de Marly and the Versailles court.
The arrival of Perseus is no different. Here, Parfums de Marly hoped to come up with an expression that is defined by a burst of energy. The masculine fragrance evokes early mornings in the royal halls of Marly, just when the sun rays hit across the château. Curated by Nathalie Templer, the blend has top notes of Black Currant and Bergamot. Hints of Green Mandarin complement the somewhat woodier base.
It’s also meant to captures the warmth of the dawn. Reminiscent of the classic fragrances of the extravagant past, Perseus adds a contemporary twist by infusing the freshness of grapefruit on the top notes. At the heart of the fragrance, notes of Vetiver intertwine with the citrus that captivates the senses with a unique brightness to it.
Earthier base notes, on the other hand, complement the refreshing lightness of the scent and the sensual aroma. Cashmere wood envelops the senses with another layer, further enhanced by ambergris, creating a long-lasting dry wood fragrance trail.
Perseus is available at City Perfume, Myer, David Jones, Libertine Parfumerie and the Parfums de Marly Strand Boutique in Sydney. Visit Parfum de Marly for more information.
