A tribute to Italian leather: Loro Piana unveils its first-ever jewellery collection
When Loro Piana unveiled its Summer Resort 2024 Collection, it would pay homage to the textures that ultimately define Italian summers. Images of straw-roof bungalows and turquoise blue waters immediately come to mind, capturing the essence of ‘La vie heureuse’.
This year, the Maison debuts its first-ever jewellery collection, celebrating the iconic brand’s 100-year history. Borrowing from the character and silhouettes of its leather products, the pieces highlight Loro Piana’s savoir-faire and commitment to innovation.
Pieces like Extra, Bale and Ghiara, which are among Loro Piana’s most cherished signatures, are reimagined, honoring the brand’s leather-making legacy. Seen here are pieces that reflect a more playful and contemporary style, adding touches of metallic detail.
The Extra model, in particular, enjoys a timeless brilliance with a symbolic padlock shining charm honed by rounded edges, reminiscent to its counterpart. Noticeable, too, is the double rivet clasp, which makes it both chic and functional. Meanwhile, the Bale bracelet, with a togo clasp, recalls the toggle detail of the bag’s closure. Tying these elements together is, of course, the double-wrap bracelet and the unique fastener of the Ghiera bag.
The bijoux collection also boasts the Maison’s signature deep kummel-coloured calfskin in the Ghiera toggle necklace. Elevating the exquisite piece is an optional Sun Gold chain detail. Rounding out the collection is the trendsetting Charm Chain bracelet with a variety of emblems, from the from a ring-shaped Ghiera to padlock charms, all wrapped in Loro Piana’s soft leather.
