Private jets, air charter, bespoke aviation — Inside the BAAFEx airshow
The inaugural Business Aviation Asia Forum and Expo (BAAFEx) took flight in Singapore, showcasing the latest in private jets, air charter, and the ultimate bespoke approach to the sky.
Industry leaders gathered at Changi Exhibition Centre to explore cutting-edge aircraft, including the Dassault Falcon 8X, which boasts a range of almost 12,000 km, a generous width of 2.34 metres carrying up to 16 passengers, and a noticeable level of quietness.
“Owning a private jet is, of course, a luxury, but it’s a way of living as well — a way to manage what little time you have.” — Dassault Aviation’s executive vice president Carlos Brana.
VistaJet’s Bombardier Global 7500 also impressed, fitted with luxuriously standardised interiors and adorned with the brand’s signature livery, accommodating up to 14 people.
Additionally, charter giants such as Sino Jet, TAG Aviation and Jetset unveiled exclusive services, from fractional ownership to bespoke jet-sharing programmes.
“We’re seeing more individuals who have bought an aircraft in the past, and are now looking to buy hours instead — or rather than buy a second or a third aircraft.” — VistaJet’s chief commercial officer Ian Moore.
With a strong focus on luxury, efficiency and innovation, BAAFEx 2025 cemented Singapore’s position as Asia’s premier hub for business aviation.
