The Macallan embarks on a ‘journey through time’ with Cirque du Soleil for its 200th anniversary

In the world of fine whisky, The Macallan has stood consistently as a true innovator of the single malt Scotch whisky. For two centuries, the distillery’s expressions have showcased the flavours and texture of the picturesque Speyside region. Collaborations with artists and designers over the years have only enhanced the brand’s status.

To honour its remarkable milestone, the Macallan recently launched ‘A Journey Through Time’, reflecting on its wide-ranging collections all the while taking a moment to appreciate its vibrant present. Among the preparations made to commemorate its bicentennial anniversary is the release of its ‘200 Years Young’ logo. The move signifies a new period for the brand and its identity, recognising both the distillery’s illustrious past and the celebration of its future.

Designed by acclaimed visual artist Alex Trochut, the Macallan anniversary logo features a wave pattern that underlines the connection between the brand’s foundations and this new epoch. It merges the curve of the River Spey as it weaves its way through The Macallan Estate en route to the rolling curves of its Scottish distillery.

Complementing this is a series of new expressions across Australia. This includes limited-edition special releases, as well as exciting new explorations that will debut with the A Night On Earth and Harmony collections. Punctuating the celebration is the Macallan’s partnership with the renowned Cirque du Soleil, as it delves into the various bespoke, theatrical and ground-breaking experiences at the Macallan estate.
