The Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II: A bold evolution of the world’s pre-eminent super-luxury SUV

Shot on location at Parkview Eclat, Orchard, Singapore.

In 2018, Rolls-Royce introduced the Cullinan, featuring a sophisticated design, exceptional performance and impressive engineering with genuine off-road capabilities. It immediately earned the title of the world’s first super-luxury SUV and became the most requested model in the Rolls-Royce portfolio.

Building on the success of the original Cullinan, Rolls-Royce introduces the Cullinan Series II, featuring a bolder character with new bespoke styling cues and an enhanced performance through state-of-the-art technology.

The Cullinan Series II remained true to its predecessor’s essential qualities, featuring a 6.75-litre V12 engine that provides a maximum power of 850 hp or 420 kW at 5,000 rpm and torque power of 850 Nm at 1,600 rpm. This also allows the SUV to reach a top speed of 250 km/h.

What sets the Cullinan Series II apart from the first model is its revamped design, featuring simple feature lines and crisp edges that highlight the SUV’s generous proportions and commanding presence. The central theme of ‘verticality’ is reflected in the vertical headlights and daytime running lights, inspired by towering skyscrapers and the urban landscape.

An illuminated pantheon grille – a first for the Cullinan – is featured as the centerpiece of the exterior, now with a refreshed lower leading edge. At the rear, mirror-finished stainless steel and rich, high-gloss black accents enhance the SUV’s sophisticated design.

The Cullinan Series II now features upsized 23-inch wheels and a new paint finish, the ‘Emperador Truffle’, which is a contemporary, minimalist solid grey-brown colour inspired by a richly veined brown marble.

The same sophisticated design is echoed at the interiors of the SUV, featuring a pillar-to-pillar glass-panel fascia in the upper portion of the dashboard. It has an illuminated Cullinan wordmark and a unique cityscape graphic. This motif features over 7,000 laser-etched dots, which is also fully customisable to the owner’s liking.

A redesigned Central Information Display is positioned at the center of the fascia, now redesigned to accommodate the advanced Spirit operating system. On the passenger side, a unique inset vitrine called the Spirit of Ecstasy Clock Cabinet, showcases both an analogue timepiece and an up-lit Spirit of Ecstasy figurine.

The SUV also boasts rear infotainment systems that allows streaming access to car management and seating functions such as massage, heating and cooling. Additionally, it boasts an exceptional 18-speaker bespoke audio system, enhanced by the latest generation 18-channel, 1400-watt amplifier.

For the base textile on the seats, the marque used Duality Twill, a new rayon fabric made from bamboo, that is embroidered with an artistic ‘Duality’ graphic. This is available in three colours, Lilac, Chocolate and Black, and clients can select from 51 different colours of thread.

The SUV also integrates the use of ‘Placed Perforation’ for its interiors, pattern inspired by the constantly changing shapes and shadows of the clouds over the Home of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood. This is comprised of over 107 million 0.8- and 1.2-millimetre perforations.

Like all Rolls-Royce models, the Cullinan Series II is fully customisable to the owner’s preferences through the marque’s Bespoke customisation programme.
