A tribute the cosmos: The Range Rover Sport SV Celestial Collection is the first of its kind

Just when people thought that Land Rover’s Range Rover Sport couldn’t be any more lush, they’ll be pleasantly surprised that the model now launches an exclusive limited-edition collection. The Range Rover Sport SV Celestial Collection is a for the marque, as it indulges in unique storytelling. Here, clients are provided with vehicles inspired by ancient Greek mythology and the cosmos.

“The idea of mystery and intrigue from the celestial sky was key – the symbolism you can find throughout the collection draws a deeper meaning,” Phoebe Lindsay, Materiality Manager, Range Rover, said. “These stories have been carefully considered to reflect the exemplary tastes of our clients.”

The collection is meant to show clients a side of Range Rover that goes beyond just aesthetics. Each curation presents a bespoke exterior colour that come with unique inscriptions and finishes throughout the interior. Such detailing are also seen on the console and treadplates. All of these, of course, reference the cosmos as a ‘transcendent theme.’

This debut collection from the SV Bespoke Design team boasts meticulously curated content. This includes bespoke colours and finishes, 23-inch wheels, carbon ceramic brakes, carbon fibre bonnets and unique symbolism throughout the luxuriously appointed interiors.

The Gaea colourway, for instance, enjoys an earthier character with a distinct Green Terre Matte exterior paint finish. Denoted, too, on the vehicle is a slanted symbol representing a wave against land. There’s also the striking Aurora Yellow gloss exterior, hinting at the Aurora Borealis phenomenon. It’s thought of as a representation of the Sun and divinity.

Meanwhile, Io, which happens to be the most volcanically active body in the Solar System, led to the idea for the Cyllene Gloss exterior colour reminiscent of lo’s surface and its volcanic changes. The Verrier Blue colour, on the other hand, is an ode to French astronomer Urban La Verrier, who mathematically predicted the location of Neptune and references the star from the Lyra constellation.
