Loro Piana’s 2024 summer resort collection whisks us away to an Italian escapade

Rare and refined are the wool and cashmere textiles of Loro Piana. The epitome of Italian luxury styling, the brand has been producing some of the most remarkable collections in the world of high fashion. And this year, the Maison is celebrating its centennial year by introducing a bohemian-inspired paradise island collection inspired by the Italian riviera.

The Summer Resort 2024 Collection was said to have borrowed from the textures and shades of white-sand-beach getaways in Italy. Coming to mind upon first glance of the pieces are images of straw-roof bungalows and turquoise blue waters here. The pieces capture Loro Piana’s commitment to ‘La vie heureuse’ – the happy life in Tahitian.

The resort series blends classic and contemporary styles amicably. Each piece is characterised by simple, pure lines and relaxed fittings, with a colour palette that ranges from Loro Piana’s signature shade of kummel to deeper hues of blue.

Accentuating the paradise look all the while adding a touch of tropical whimsy, the fabrics incorporate a variety of patterns. From multicolored stripes to vibrant all-over Tree of Life or Hibiscus Flower prints, each element blossoms across the collection. Also found here are slouchy jumpsuits, embroidered co-ords, and loose kimonos destined for the summertime.

The use of fabrics such as fine linen, silk and cotton reflects Loro Piana’s highest standards. Solaire and Antigua finishes, on the other hand, portray a more sophisticated yet easy-going character, fit for the resort concept. Besides the apparel, the collection is complemented by new accessories, taking from the beachside lifestyle. A variety of straw hats and leather sandals, including the Naha slipper with three embossed straps, complete the exceptional ensemble.
