The Lamborghini Urus SE is the most powerful hybrid super SUV yet
Since its launch in late 2017, the Lamborghini Urus have defied the odds of a super car, combining the functionality of an SUV with the impressive performance of a sports car. Each model in its category boasts extreme proportions, a breathtaking design and extraordinary driving dynamics, all powered by a twin-turbo V8 engine. Building on this success, the marque introduces its first plug-in hybrid version of the super SUV – the Lamborghini Urus SE.
The Urus SE offers an unparalleled driving experience thanks to its traditional twin-turbo V8 engine, combined with the all-new 25.9-kW lithium-ion battery. This develops a total power output of 800 CV at 6000 rpm and an impressive torque of 950 Nm.
The hybrid system also allows the super SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, beating the Urus S’ record by just 0.1 second. It can also go from 0 to 200 km/h in just 11.2 seconds and reach a top speed of up to 312 km/h.
In pure electric-vehicle mode, the Urus SE is capable of traveling up to 60 km and reach a maximum speed of up to 130 km/h. These figures make it the most powerful Urus yet and the fastest production car in its category.
The Urus SE’s appearance is as impressive as its engine, featuring an athletic and muscular silhouette that not only accentuates its striking design but also optimises aerodynamic efficiency. Starting at its new hood, its styling concept recall that of Revuelto’s, featuring a floating design and a sporty appearance. Headlight clusters, equipped with matrix LED technology, along with a redesigned bumper and grille, are also found at the front of the vehicle.
At the rear, the SUV features a completely redesigned cargo hatch, as well as a new spoiler and diffuser, which increases the car’s downforce by 35% at high speeds. Aerodynamic efficiency is also improved, thanks to its new under-body air vents and revamped air ducts.
Inside the cabin, the Urus SE features anodised aluminium trim elements and new coverings for the panel and seats. Across the dashboard is a 12.3-inch display that features a new version of the Human Machine Interface, which has intuitive and updated graphics, much like that of the Revuelto’s. It also enables convenient access to the car’s driving assistance system, as well as its multiple driving modes, including the Strata, Sport, Corsa and EV Drive modes.
Of course, owners are allowed to customise their own Urus SE thanks to Lamborghini’s Ad Personam Program. This offers 47 colour combinations and four types of embroidery, as well as Pirelli P Zero tyre options for the ultimate driving experience.
