What happens when couture and spirits collide?
World-renowned Scottish whisky maker Johnnie Walker and French fashion designer and former creative director of Balmain, Olivier Rousteing, unveiled The Couture Blend at a series of events in Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands, The Whisky Distillery and Changi Airport.

Following the success of the Couture Expression in 2025, their first collaboration, The Couture Blend marries Rousteing’s haute couture sensibility—evident in the spirit’s layered structure and design-led presentation—with Johnnie Walker’s heritage of blending and craftsmanship.
The whisky bottle is a square crystal decanter, designed by Rousteing himself, and pays tribute to the original Johnnie Walker square bottle, launched in the 1860s, reimagined in gold with sloped shoulders and an oversized crystal stopper.

Single malt scotches include the Cardhu 2006, Roseisle 2010 and Teaninich 2009.
The expression itself is anchored by ghost whiskies, rare stocks from distilleries that have long since closed but whose remaining casks continue to mature in warehouses. Master blender Emma Walker selected these alongside a number of rare single malts, ultimately bringing together ten spirits in the final blend. Several of the whiskies used are around 40 years old, chosen in part to mark designer Olivier Rousteing’s 40th birthday.

Among the ghost whiskies included in the blend are from Port Dundas and Caledonian, two Scottish distilleries that closed in 2010 and 1988 respectively. These components add depth and historical character to the blend, drawn from distilling traditions that are no longer in production. They are joined by rare single malts such as Port Ellen 1978, Caledonian 1977 and the Cardhu 12-Year-Old Special Release, each contributing its own structure and flavour profile.
Limited to just 1,500 bottles worldwide, The Couture Blend is intended for collectors and enthusiasts drawn to rare releases. In Singapore, the expression is available at The Whisky Distillery, retailing from SGD$3,988 per bottle.
