Jacob & Co’s latest edition of The World Is Yours timepiece: Inspired by the watch that sparked a legacy
Jacob & Co unveils the latest edition of The World Is Yours Dual Time Zone Tourbillon, featuring a stunning world map dial and welcoming a tourbillon at its heart.
This exceptional timepiece pays homage to the Maison’s first ‘The World Is Yours’ collection from 2002. More importantly, it is also a tribute to Jacob & Co’s founder Jacob Arabo’s first watch—a gift from his father when he was just 13 years old.

The timepiece was more than just a family heirloom, it also showcased an impressive feat—a dual time zone watch with a world map dial. This inspired young Jacob’s passion for horological ingenuity, a passion now reflected in The World Is Yours Dual Time Zone Tourbillon.
The watch features the same world map dial as its predecessor, but this time crafted from a curved titanium plate. The surface is carefully etched using a high-precision laser to capture the intricate outlines of three continents, and treated with a 5N rose gold finish. The caseback shows the regions not depicted on the dial, printing them in gold over blue sapphire glass. To enhance the dial and emphasise the map, a special technique coats the surface, giving the ocean a rich, deep blue hue.

What truly makes this watch unique are the dual time zone sub-dials positioned at 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock. Each sub-dial displays hour and minute indicators, with one featuring Roman numerals and the other Arabic numerals.
Thanks to Jacob & Co.’s innovative technology, the owner can set each sub-dial to display different times according to their preferences. This feature accommodates time zones across the world or can be customised for unusual offsets, such as the Australian Central Standard Time (UTC+9h30).
Finally, at the centre of the watch, beneath the dial’s compass rose, sits a 30-second double-space tourbillon. An impressive feat in its own right, the tourbillon required a special structure to fit comfortably beneath and at the heart of the domed case.
