The epitome of quiet luxury: Hermès unveils its Spring and Summer 2025 collection

Popularly known for its Birkin and Kelly handbags, as well premium quality and handcrafted leather clothing, Hermès has been the epitome of French luxury fashion that have always kept up with the trends. One of the trends it applied in its newest Spring and Summer 2025 collection is quiet luxury, which is a minimalist yet timeless approach to fashion.

Hermès’ creative director Nadège Vanhee headed the collection, focusing on emphasising a woman’s silhouette and assertive sensuality with a neutral-dominated colour palette. It is consisted of mostly beiges, tans, blacks and browns, while also adding a pop of colour with fuchsia elements throughout its design.

“What I want to convey as the message is the idea of an assertive sensuality,” Vanhee said. “You know, it’s about the summer, a feel-good summer, and, really, this relationship you have with your skin.”

The collection mainly revolves around the use of partially sheer materials in skirts that zips up on the side, trousers and overlays. To create a luxury spin to the sheer trend, the use of Vanhee’s leather creations were also added, including jackets with asymmetrical detailing to belts worn directly on top of under garments. These were also paired with chic riding boots, as well as playful yet practical clog sandals.

Of course, the Hermès runway wouldn’t be complete without showcasing its popular Mini Kelly bag appearing in a luxurious red with a playful fringe. On the other hand, the popular Birkin a l’envers is showcased in an inverted manner, displaying what is normally seen from the inside of the bag.
