At the 2025 edition of Watches and Wonders in Geneva, Italian watch maison Bulgari showcased its latest novelties that continue to push the boundaries in horology. Boulevard chats with Bulgari’s creative director for watches, Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, who shared insights into the design and ideas behind these remarkable creations.
One of the highlights is the Octo Finissimo Ultra, the world’s thinnest tourbillon watch yet, measuring at 1.85mm, much thinner than the previous 5mm iteration (seen above). Stigliani shares, “We try to make several executions with different materials, and this is the first Octo Finissimo Ultra with a flying tourbillon.”
The showcase also featured different iterations of the maison’s iconic Serpenti watches and standouts from the Aeterna collection, each reflecting Bulgari’s distinct blend of precision and Roman elegance.
“We get our inspiration for our watches everywhere—it’s not just one field.”
