The Dassault Falcon 10X is peerless in comfort and technology

Dassault Aviation’s Falcon 10X is finally heading into service next year. With it comes the brand’s most ambitious business jet yet. Previously known for years for its light-weight, high-performance Falcons, Dassault, back in 2021, shifted its focus to building ‘the largest and most capable purpose-built business jet’ ever.

A key partner in the French aerospace company’s ultimate goal is Rolls-Royce, which engineered the most advanced and efficient engine yet just for the Falcon 10X. The Rolls-Royce Pearl 10X is the latest, largest and most powerful version produced in the Pearl engine series.

Delivering a range of 7,500 nm, and more than 80.1 kN of thrust, with a top speed of Mach .925, the business jet will fly nonstop from New York to Shanghai, Los Angeles to Sydney, Hong Kong to New York or Paris to Santiago.

This is an aircraft that’s all about efficiency and speed. Hence, Dassault making some tweaks to the materials. The high-speed wing is made of carbon fibre composites, reducing the aircraft’s weight and minimising drag, while the very-high aspect ratio wing comes with high-lift devices for better maneuverability at lower approach speeds.

Of all its new features, the Falcon 10X’s greatest asset is, of course, its space. Measuring a height of 6.8 ft and a length of 9.1 ft, the business jet boasts the largest cabin ever for a purpose-built aircraft in this segment. Its modular constructions offer owners complete customisability of the interiors. Whether it’s an additional conference, entertainment or dining area, or perhaps a privacy suite, these configurations can easily be incorporated upon request.

The 10X’s 38 windows make its cabin the brightest in business aviation. Ensuring the utmost comfort, passengers enjoy an entirely new fuselage, with windows 50% larger than the ones on the Falcon 8X.

This jet’s generous baggage compartment is also the largest in its class, adding to the overall convenience of the in-flight experience. Guests will be happy to know that the aircraft is also equipped with high-speed connectivity, thanks to the Ka-band networking, which offers seamless in-flight communications and broadband access.

Its flight deck, on the other hand, makes use of a digital flight control system that incorporates Dassault’s award-winning FalconEye combined vision system. This means that the aircraft is more than capable of operating amidst essentially zero ceiling/visibility conditions, allowing the crew to navigate skies even under difficult weather conditions.
