Bulgari celebrates light and colour in its purest form with the Polychroma collection
For Bulgari, colour has never been an afterthought—it has always been the foundation. From the rich blues of the Mediterranean skies to the deep reds and golds found in Roman architecture and mosaics, the maison has long drawn from its surroundings to create jewellery that speaks through contrast and intensity.
The Polychroma collection continues this legacy with ten distinctive creations—five high jewellery pieces and five high jewellery watches—that explore how light, form and pigment come together in precise, often unexpected ways.

At the heart of the collection is the Magnus Emerald necklace, which features a 241.06-carat Colombian emerald—the largest ever used by Bulgari yet. The design balances a classic diamond rivière at the back with a bold architectural front, as well as a flowing sautoir silhouette, drawing from the clean lines of jewellery from the 1970s.
Another key piece is the Essence of Yellow ring, a reinterpretation of the Trombino ring, first created in 1928. Set in platinum, this iteration features a 45-carat fancy vivid yellow diamond—an extremely rare gem that appears roughly once every four to five years. Rather than using a brilliant cut, the maison chose an Asscher emerald cut to let the colour carry the piece. 42 step-cut diamonds and pavé settings further enhance the radiate the piece, highlighting its architectural elegance.

The high jewellery collection also features the Polychromatic Bloom necklace, which brings together a trio of cabochon-cut stones—a 106.36-carat rubellite at the centre, flanked by a 55.52-carat peridot and a 55.11-carat tanzanite. Set among over 500 precious gems, the piece highlights the clarity and depth of each stone through smooth, rounded surfaces. The necklace also features a sculpted chain that gives the design a modern edge, while still drawing from the organic forms of nature.
Bulgari’s watchmaking expertise is also expressed in the Polychroma collection, marrying high jewellery with horological ingenuity. For instance, the Gioco di Forme e Colori secret watch (top) hides its dial beneath a detachable brooch, featuring a 12.34-carat tanzanite and rays of gold inspired by the Roman sun. Around it, a cascade of sapphires, rubies, garnets and emeralds—each in varied cuts—adds movement and intensity to the piece.

Nuvole Preziose pendant watch and its inner workings.
Another high jewellery watch is the Nuvole Preziose pendant watch, which blends architecture with transformability. Its octagonal silhouette echoes the ceiling of Rome’s Basilica of Maxentius, while a 6.88-carat yellow sapphire anchors the centre. Surrounding it are cloud-shaped motifs that can be detached and worn as earrings, and a butterfly set on a trembler mechanism—an homage to a vintage Bulgari brooch. White gold spikes radiate from the composition, recalling the sunburst altarpiece in Santa Maria Della Vittoria.
