The special edition BMW M2 CS redefines the driving experience with a compact, aggressive design
Whether on the track or on the road, the BMW M2 delivers a unique driving experience with its athletic proportions, advanced technology and powerful engine. Launched in 2015 and reimagined from the BMW 2 series, this high-performing sports car stands out for its aggressive yet compact design, combining rear-wheel drive dynamics with finely tuned suspension to offer precise handling through corners and thrilling acceleration on straightaways.
Building on this success, the marque has unveiled the all-new BMW M2 Competition Sport (CS)—a special edition model that takes the latest generation M2 chassis and refines it further. The CS is lighter, more compact and engineered for purists who crave a sharper, more visceral driving experience.

Weight-saving measures such as carbon fibre-reinforced plastic components amplify its performance credentials, while subtle design tweaks hint at its track-inspired origins. For instance, a front splitter in matte black and an exclusive BMW M Kidney Grille—which enhances its aerodynamic performance—is found in the special edition model. It also comes with a CS-specific rear diffuser in exposed carbon fibre and an M Carbon roof, as standard, completing the sporty and dynamic look.
The interiors also take in the racecar-inspired design, using the same carbon fibre components, Merino leather and Alcantara—a synthetic microfiber material used by BMW, particularly in its M series models.
The M2 CS comes with heated M Carbon bucket seats that are lightweight, electrically adjustable and marked with an illuminated CS logo. These seats even have removable head restraints and can be fitted with multi-point harnesses for serious track use. A carbon fibre centre console with red CS lettering saves weight while adding a sporty touch. It also comes with a flat-bottomed Alcantara steering wheel, which features a red 12-o’clock marker and carbon fibre trim, with two M buttons for quick access to custom drive settings.

Despite its stripped-back feel, the M2 CS keeps modern comforts like a 12.3-inch digital display, a 14.9-inch touchscreen, Harman Kardon surround sound and full smartphone connectivity. Everything inside is laid out to keep the driver focused, while still being comfortable enough for everyday drives.
Powered by an upgraded 3.0-litre M TwinPower Turbo inline-six engine from the standard M2, the BMW M2 CS puts out up to 450 hp and 550 Nm of torque. It can also go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.0 seconds and hit a top speed of 280 km/h with the optional M Driver’s Package—showing that this compact coupe has the performance to match its aggressive looks.
