Berluti and Land Rover work together to reimagine a 1963 classic

Berluti’s name is often associated with the pinnacle of haute couture, thanks to its world-class footwear. Each hand-crafted leather piece it makes exudes a timeless elegance and a certain mastery. Because of its prestige, the Maison has found itself collaborating with titans of different industries. From Hennessy and Hublot to Bang & Olufsen, Berluti produces amazing one-of-a-kind collections that transcend creative boundaries. Its most recent partnership with Land Rover, of course, enjoys the same richness.

Here, Berluti reimagines the iconic 1963 Land Rover series, reflecting the Maison’s adventurous spirit and rugged character in the vehicle’s detail. The collaboration would produce a station wagon worthy of the powerhouse names that built it, a perfect fusion between sophistication and off-road capabilities.

Here, the vehicle has been repainted in its original sand colour. It’s given the Berluti touch by adding a convertible canvas hood printed with an overblown Scritto motif. Berluti’s signature leather can also be seen all over its interiors, as well. The renewed seat covers, for instance, have been rendered in Venezia leather. Meanwhile, the dashboard features hidden compartments inspired by the functionality of Berluti bags.

What makes this vintage rover all the more unique is not just its custom floor mats and unique trim details, but also in the subtle upgrades made to the vehicle’s engineering. In fact, the modified power-steering and disk brakes, together with a 2.3, 77 horse-power, 4-cylinder petrol engine, allows for smoother all-terrain drive and endless possibilities for exploration.

This Berluti-redesigned station wagon is completed by bespoke car accessories, including travel blankets, a small Nino pouch, a keyring, backpacks for hiking and a two-place hammock. Best of all, it even complements Berluti’s Winter release, making it a true collector’s dream.
