Bang & Olufsen’s Atelier takes bespoke tech into new heights

People often like to instil their style into the spaces they live in, using furniture, artwork and small details that reflect their tastes and tell their story. Yet when it comes to home electronics—like speakers, televisions and other entertainment devices—the choices are often limited. Danish brand Bang & Olufsen aims to change that with its Atelier design service, which allows customers to personalise select products with unique colours, finishes and materials, turning them into one-of-a-kind pieces.

Bang & Olufsen Atelier

The Bang & Olufsen Atelier comes in three types of design services: Bespoke, Catalogue and Editions. Each one is crafted to help customers shape speakers that feel like a true extension of their personality and the atmosphere they want to create at home.

The Atelier Bespoke invites clients to work one-on-one with skilled artisans, choosing exact colours, materials and details to bring a fully customised sound system to life.

The Atelier Catalogue, on the other hand, gives customers access to more than 500,000 possible combinations of fabric, wood and aluminium finishes, making it easier to match their speakers to the look and feel of any room in their home.

Lastly, the Atelier Editions feature exclusive pieces from Bang & Olufsen’s portfolio, which can be products with distinct colours and finishes that are not part of the regular range. Each one is numbered and comes in limited quantities, giving collectors and enthusiasts a chance to own something truly rare and thoughtfully crafted from the brand.

Alongside the launch of the Atelier is Bang & Olufsen’s Beosound 2 Gradient Collection—a series of wireless, 360-degree speakers known for their rich sound quality and distinctive sculptural shape. This special collection introduces 10 different gradient colour combinations, with each one limited to just 10 numbered and engraved pieces, making it a true collector’s item that doubles as a functional design piece.
