Three highlights that make the AP House in Singapore worth visiting

Located within the historic Raffles Hotel’s Bar and Billiard Room, the recently opened AP House in Singapore immediately transports visitors into Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet’s world. It seamlessly blends the building’s preserved architecture with interiors inspired by the Swiss Maison’s home in Le Brassus and the surrounding lush nature.

The space offers an immersive experience, blending a warm atmosphere and exceptional culinary delights with a journey through the brand’s history. Here are three reasons why the AP House in Singapore is worth visiting…

AP House

Beautiful architecture with an inviting atmosphere

Audemars Piguet transformed the interiors of the historic hotel to reflect the brand’s home in Le Brassus, while incorporating Singapore’s identity as the ‘Garden City’. With muted greens, gold-gilded accents, and organic materials such as wood and stone, the space creates a warm, home-like atmosphere.

Enhancing this immersive experience, the AP House features a corridor with elegant wood panelling, complemented by an LED screen ceiling. This unique design element showcases changing sceneries from Le Brassus, capturing the beauty of different seasons.

Additionally, the 1,000-square-metre oasis features arches that crown the vast doorways and windows. Towering Norfolk Pine trees anchor the corners of the house, while beautiful stoneworks adorn the walls, evoking the lush spruce trees and elemental beauty of the Jura mountains.

An homage to a rich and storied past

As guests enter the space, they are greeted with many homages to both the Maison and to the iconic Bar and Billiard Room at Raffles Hotel.

An exceptional feature that can’t be missed are the three Watch Totems that showcase a curated selection of Audemars Piguet’s heritage pieces, from pocket watches to its most recent wristwatches. A beautiful timepiece from 1990 is also showcased in one of the totems, which is fully custom-made for a patriotic Singaporean collector. It features an open-worked dial with stunning hand-engraved Merlion and is adorned with baguette-cut diamonds at the bezel.

Additionally, a striking Watch Wall can be found at the centre of the house, showcasing a selection of the Maison’s current collection. Guests are invited to take a closer look at the timepieces with the assistance of a dedicated client consultant.

Of course, the AP House also paid tribute to the iconic Bar & Billiard Room by adding a rug with a tiger design beneath the billiard table. It’s a cheeky nod to a tiger who escaped from a circus in 1902 and hid under the elevated room for the night.

AP Café: Experience an exquisite culinary journey

Adjacent to the AP House is the first-ever AP Café, which offers a truly exceptional culinary experience. In collaboration with Burnt Ends, a renowned modern Australian barbecue restaurant in Singapore’s Dempsey Hill, the café serves modern Swiss cuisine with Singaporean influences.

Among the standout savoury dishes on their menu is the White Pepper King Crab and Avocado. It features a beautifully roasted king crab that is dressed in white pepper and lemon. It is topped with creamy avocado and a dollop of caviar.

For those with a sweet tooth, the Hazelnut Crunch is a dessert worth trying. It is made of decadent Dark Valrhona chocolate, filled with caramel on a hazelnut praline. It is topped with toasted hazelnut, creating a perfect balance of rich flavours and textures.

Whether exploring its curated timepieces, indulging in exquisite cuisine, or simply soaking in the ambiance, the AP House promises to be a home away from home – especially for fans of the maison.

The AP House is open to the public by appointment. Visit Audemars Piguet for more information.
